1. Which topic do you find most significant? Why?
 - The topic that I think that is the most significant is the "Scaffolding". As a future teacher, I will use this technique to develop the learning in my students. It is very important to scaffold them because a teacher must be the firm foundation or the support of our student's learning. For example in a diverse class, not all students can cope up with the lesson immediately so as for me I should be the one to know the strengths and weaknesses of my students so that I can help them and cater their needs and most especially I can support them in doing such things or activities because that was scaffolding all about, "support".

2. Which topic do you find most difficult to understand? Why?
-The website (gg.gg) is very useful for us students and also for the teachers because the ppts and other instructional material like videos on youtube were embeded in the website. It's very easy to use or "user friendly" and it so good that there's time frame there like the lessons from week 1 down to week 12 and their laboratory activities. Honestly, I can't suggest ways to improve the site because for me, it is "2 thumbs up".

3. How do you find the use of our website (gg.gg)? Is it useful or not? Suggest ways to improve it.
-The topic that I find the most difficult to understand is the Differentiated Instruction and Copyright because it too broad and for me it is difficult to understand. I can't understand the copyright laws and fair use guidelines but I will surely work on it.

4. The new paradigm of education is done by creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences. Was the semester inspiring and engaging to you as a student of ED 126? Why?
The semester was very inspiring because of the learning I get in this subject. Ed 126 taught me to be innovative n=and creative as well. It also taught me to become a great communicator and a responsible web user. And lastly, I am very sure that all ED subjects of my very own college will help me, mold me to become a good educator in the near future.

5. Suggest ways on how to improve the teaching and learning process in educational technology subject (ED 126)?
- To improve the teaching and learning process in educational technology subject, I think making quiz and answer it online and time pressured will be great. Also taking examinations online, how to use it and how to make one will be very useful. In this, we will going to improve the teaching and learning process wherein the modules are in the website, and after the discussions and showing the slides and ppts, there is a quiz to be answered by the students online. After every chapter, there is an examination and all these are time pressured.

Learning Log 4

Schoolboy in high school class

a. Why do we need to develop self-directed learners?

Teachers often say that they wish their pupils were more responsible for their own learning. If we want to understand and develop more self-directed learners, it’s productive to focus on what such a learner should be able to do. At best, self-directed learners can generate their own learning, select from their environment appropriate resources needed for learning,  generate with others motivation and goals, promote and develop with others dialogue for learning and inter-relate learning from various contexts of their learning landscapes. Classrooms become learning communities.
 b. As future teachers, how will you help your students become self-directed learners?
Education is about more than setting up a fish (knowledge) distribution center and handing fish out to all who come to the institution. Education is about fishing lessons, equipping people with the competence and confidence to fish (learn) for the rest of their lives. This is not simply about job preparation. This is preparation for life: family, church, community, work, avocations, leisure time, and relationships. That is the liberal arts vision behind education. As such, an education that simply disseminates knowledge is a limited one.
The main goal of education is not about credits, diplomas, letter grades, degrees, or classes. It is about cultivating knowledge, skills, and dispositions that empower us to live the good life, to develop wisdom and eloquence, to become lifelong learners, and to use what we learn in service to our neighbor.    Here are at least 3 simple ideas that educators, parents, students, and learning organizations might want to consider; ideas that promise to help with the goal of fishing lessons over simple fish distribution.1) Learning in Depth – I wrote about a program / project recently known and Learning in Depth, but in this case I am using the phrase more broadly. 2) Create a “My” Learning Journal – This can be a physical or digital journal, but the goal is to document three or four aspects of your learning over an extended period. 1) What am I learning? 2) Why am I learning it? 3) How am I learning it? 4) Where am I learning it? This is not just about keeping track of what teachers assign in classes. It is a journal about lessons from all of life: lessons from school, relationships, personal media consumption and leisure time. It allows students to expand their understanding of learning as something that is larger than just what happens in classes.3) Have Students Develop and Gradually Build a Personal Learning Network – Google the phrase and you will find most of the examples focused upon teachers and other professionals leveraging digital tools and communities to develop a network of people and resource that they use for their ongoing professional growth and development.

 c. What student-support materials will you provide your students to help them become self-directed?
As a future teacher, I would like to present my students the instructional materials that is needed in the lesson. Second one is I would like to let them use websites in the internet that is needed in the class with proper guidance because from these steps, I can help them become self-directed learners.

Learning Log 3

a. Which tools do you find useful or appropriate for your subject area?
- The Google Apps for Education is a suite of tools that can help you increase opportunities for critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, and all while support for my future students learning. These Apps will help me as a future educator to facilitate learning to my students in an easier and "techi" way to my future learners. As a MAPEH major, I think the tools that would be useful for my major is first the Google Slides because it can present my lesson through slides and with this, I can further discuss to the the lessons with also pictures as an example. Second is the Youtube, I can use this tool as a visual aid wherein I can show them the videos that will help me to be an effective teacher.

b. How will you incorporate these tools in your unit plan?
- In every lecture, I will use the Google Slides for me to have a simpler way to transfer the learning to my students. If I am going to use the google slides, they can view our lesson beforehand so that they can have an advance study for our lesson. The second one is the Youtube. In this tool, every after a discussion, I will let them search or browse in the youtube for videos that I am going to have them as an assignment and also every time that they will have their reportings to their assigned reports, youtube will help them to about the video. For example, how to dance hiphop, folk dancing and etc.

c. How will you use these tools in you future teaching profession?
- These tools will help me in terms of effective, more "catchy"way of transferring learning to my students. Also, it helps my students to understand more our lesson because of the illustrations, slide presentations and video presentations.

Learning Log 2

a. What are the ISTE standards that you possess? Please cite specific personal experiences wherein you portray such standards?

- The 2016 ISTE Standards for Students emphasize the skills and qualities we want for students, enabling them to engage and thrive in a connected, digital world. I think I am an empowered learner because I am very particular with setting my learning goals to improve my learning outcomes. I also use technology to seek feedback and seek more learning materials to learn in different ways because technology is an integral part of students’ lives, but in school they are generally not capitalizing on its potential to drive their own learning. This standard also establish an expectation that students understand the science of learning and how technology might enhance or impede the cognitive and affective (emotional) processes that are critical to deeper learning. I am also a creative communicator for I express myself creatively and communicate clearly in order for them to understand my perceptions and ideas in the said lesson or whenever they want my opinion. I also use digital objects to visualize my assigned report and for them to understand my report clearly. This standard also recognizes how technology has proliferated the ways we can communicate and reach audiences and the importance of choosing the medium and the channel to correspond with a particular audience.

b. As a future teacher, in what ways can you develop these standards among your students?

- As a future educator I can develop and apply these ISTE standards among my students by training them to be one of these standards. I will expose them to digital learning for them to cope up easily with these standards. For example, I'll frequently use powerpoint to as my instructional material to visualize my lesson instead of the traditional writing on the board or visual aids written in cartolinas and manila papers. I will let them also use powerpoint when they have assigned reports. Lastly, the best way to develop these standards to my students is to set myself as an example to these standards, I will see to it that these standards are visible to myself so that my students will going to have me as their model of these standards, they have someone to look up to.
